The U.S. government continues to inform us that while they will fiercely resist ever honoring the letter or spirit of treaties with the Indigenous nations that ALL this land most surely was stolen from, when it comes to white, christian, privileged, greedy bullies- they will stand aside. The MN DNR ignored science, ecology, the public will and its own policy to invite mostly white, male, christian, privileged, greedy bullies into ceded territory in northern MN (and elsewhere) to torture and slaughter an animal crucial to a healthy eco-system and brother to the people. The BLM (et. al.) bowed to the same cultural bullies. For now. We know its not about a turtle or grazing fees, Id like to know just how many ranchers are not paying grazing fees.
