The U.S. uses just over 4 trillion MwH each year, of which only 1.12 billion, or .28%, is generated by solar. The other methods: Coal 37%, Nat Gas 30%, and Nuclear 19%. So with a little math we can conclude that 86% of electric generation in the U.S. uses (wastes) 2,812,563,200,000,000 gallons of water per year. Yes, that is just shy of THREE QUADRILLION gallons of water. And this while more than a third of our country is experiencing moderate to exceptional drought conditions. Thats just a special kind of stupid.
