The UAE government has declared MAS and CAIR as well as Islamic Relief as terrorist organizations. It is a decision that is neither based on logic nor fairness. Muslim organizations in US must protest this decision. ISNA, ICNA, MPAC, IMNA and all other significant groups should hold a press conference outside the UAE embassy in Washington DC to question the validity of this decision. These groups are not terror outfits. They are peaceful groups run by peaceful people who are dedicated to their community and country. By declaring them terrorists, UAE has questioned the integrity of Muslim Americans and doubted their intelligence. I may have differences with MAS and CAIR, but I would not question their integrity and commitment to America, the Muslim American community and Muslims in general. Its shame that a government who does not respect human rights and who violates every principle of Islam in its governance had the audacity to question the integrity of those who put their life at risk every day to defend the rights of others. You can disown them, you can question their methodology, you can criticize their actions, but do not ever question their integrity. These organizations are built by Muslim Americans within the constitutional framework of this country and anyone calling them terrorist networks in fact questions the integrity of this country. Shame on you UAE.
