The UK worked together to develop the oilfields of the North Sea, and we will work together to decommission them - a very costly process - when the time comes. We think this is as it should be, because we think we should pool and share risks and rewards with the rest of the UK. Fossil fuels do, however, seem to have an impact on the climate, yet as part of the UK we have the reach and critical mass to tackle that problem too. Working together, we can better afford the costs of the infrastructure we all need to build a better world. The nationalists want us to abandon this ability to support new knowledge, as well as limiting the opportunities for young Scots to change the world. We say no thanks. We can all reach so much higher, and achieve so much more, when we work together.
