The UPA government will go down in history as the most corrupt government with the most ineffective Prime Minister ever. Many ministers of this Government resigned or were promoted after their corruption became public. There were plenty of shameful moments for this Government. Amidst all this, the Government had a few ministers who were working for the people. They were away from the limelight and corruption. One among them was Ajay Maken. Mr. Maken held two ministries in UPA. His first was the Sports Ministry. He brought up Sports Bill which aimed at reducing corruption in sports bodies by making them accountable and bringing them under the RTI. The BCCI opposed that bill completely. Unfortunately the Bill could not be passed. Maken was also present during all matches of Indian athletes in Olympics while other members of the management were sightseeing. The very controversial Sports Bill made many politicians uncomfortable, as they had many sports association. The Sports Ministry was taken away from him. He was then given Housing and Poverty Alleviation Ministry. Ajay Maken took charge of the ministry without any hue and cry as his only goal was the serve people of this country with whatever department given to him. Being Housing Minister he has again brought a New Housing Bill, which will help people from fraudulent builders. We at The facebookians were critical of many UPA Ministers but here we applaud the work of Ajay Maken. We need more and more politicians like you Mr. Maken! like IRDA for insurance he has come with a bill for regulating builders and housing society.. (y)
