The US Constitution was a document that WE THE PEOPLE used to set up a federal government that would serve a limited purpose. The Constitution was intended to protect the people from a run away federal government. The Constitution said our congress should have the responsibility of maintaining a sound currency. It was put into the branch of government that was held by the people. The congress has relinquished that duty and given out currency over to a Federal Reserve which is neither federal or a reserve. It is nothing more than international bankers who do what is good and profitable for them...the people are powerless. It is time for WE the PEOPLE to insist on our power over our own currency once again. It is just one example of how our Constitution has been ignored and the peoples ability to govern themselves has been subverted.
