The US Government did the right thing, within the letter of the law, with the approval of multiple attorneys and judges, to conduct Enhanced Interrogation Techniques (EITs) on captive Islamic terrorists after 9/11. Over 90% of the requests to conduct waterboarding were denied by President Bush. Only 3 detainees were waterboarded, and from that, our government gleaned copious amounts of invaluable intelligence that was useful in preventing major terrorist attacks, and even included information that led us to Osama Bin Laden (OBL). If you think that being a little tough on detainees is a bad thing, then consider whether or not those same murderous, terrorist detainees were feeling any humanity or remorse for the nearly 3000 people that they killed on September 11, 2001, the thousands more family members of those victims, or the tens of thousands that they have killed and maimed over the years. Also consider this: if the detainees had wanted to, they could have avoided EITs by simply doing the right thing for peace and humanity, and telling us everything that we wanted to know. When you get captured in a war, you must realize that you will be subjected to exploitation and interrogation. That means you are offered a chance to give up the information that you have. In the case of these degenerate muslim terrorists, they should be thanking us for capturing them, as quite frankly, they get to live a more healthy and clean life than they would ever have in those God-forsaken hell-holes that they are from. Detainees are treated very humanely, to include no mutilation, no torture, 3 meals per day and that comply with their religious beliefs, ability to do call to prayer, ability to read, ability to exercise, ability to communicate with their families, medical care, plenty of sleep on a good bed, sunshine and fresh air, counseling, ability to talk to international human rights groups to include ICRC, Amnesty International, and other NGOs, and free legal representation. Ask yourself if any one of the captive civilians or military personnel capture by Islamic folks were ever afforded such humane treatment.
