The US always takes the blame from her for advising her to do the right thing, elections, Padma bridge issue or otherwise. Interesting to see her not acknowledge (own up) the kind of insults and indecent comments against the US officials made by her cabinet members instead she went on attack on US roles during 1971 etc. which has become a routine. This was obviously not the right thing to do as the people under her would probably be encouraged. She seemed to not give a damn about the possibility of US distancing from Bangladesh. I read somewhere recently that former US Ambassador to Bangladesh Mr. William Milam mentioned his perception that Hasina perhaps believed strongly that the US needed Bangladesh more than Bangladesh needed the US. That is unfortunately a common perception AL propagated for some time now in Bangladesh although could not be farther from the reality. But the leaders of AL seems to be ignoring the danger of decline of US-Bangladesh relationship as they could not care less about the people going through the suffering as they are virtually untouchable themselves. Reminds me of the current situation in Russia where Putin is so deeply involved in conflict with the West (in his mind all legit and standing up to the tyrant West) that he could care less about the people of Russia taking the hit. I guess that is how autocratic minds work.
