The Ukrainian conflict began with the NATO-backed, Nazi-led Euromaidan coup against the elected government of Ukraine. When literal Nazis took power in Kiev and began the process of selling Ukraine out to the European Union and NATO, what choice did any sovereignty-minded Ukrainian have but to resist? Note the audacity of pro-Nazi/EU/NATO voices out there claiming the new regime is legitimate and overthrowing it a crime, because it was elected. What about the previously elected government? How do you resist an armed, ideologically abhorrent enemy that has infiltrated and overthrown the government you backed? Say what you want about the previous government in Kiev, it was able to placate both sides within its borders and satisfy both sides beyond. The problem is, the EU-NATO is incapable of just wetting its beak, it wants to bury its head in Ukraine and strip the bones clean of flesh. Such irrational, unreasonable, uncontrollable lust for power and profit always leads to war - and war is what they now have - a war they are decisively losing.
