The Ukrainian militants having launched an offensive on Shahtersk (DPR) have lost 125 armored vehicles, including tanks, APCs and ICVs. That was announced by the Deputy Chief-Commander of the DPR Army 29 July. On Tuesday, 29 July, the Ukrainian militants got through to Shahtersk and Torez but met resistance of the Peoples Army forces. The towns were defended by strike groups of several Slaviyansks battalions and soldiers of the special unit Kalmius. In the engagement the militia used artillery, tanks, HIMARS Grads and other heavy weaponry. The Ukrainian punitives definitely hadnt expected such furious resistance.
