The Ultimate Warrior Is Dead . . . Just Three Days After Being Inducted Into the WWE Hall of Fame On Saturday night, THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR and the WWE put years of bad blood behind them, when Warrior was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Three days later, he was DEAD. Theres no word on the cause of death, but Warrior was only 54 years old. And Warrior WAS his legal name. He changed it from his birth name, JAMES HELLWIG, years ago. Warrior is survived by his wife Dana and their two young daughters, who sat proudly in the audience with his mother as he gave his induction speech on Saturday. He was actually the headliner of the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which was held as part of Wrestlemania 30 weekend. He even made an appearance on Monday nights episode of Raw on the USA Network.
