The UnDream / 2013 UK / Portuguese Premiere (Director: Alexander Thomas) Tom is an insomniac, trapped in his incessant inner monologue. He goes on midnight walks through the deserted town. But he cant quite shake the feeling that hes being followed... Is it in his mind, or is there someone out there? DIRECTORS BIO: Alexander Thomas is a writer and film director living and working in London. He studied Literature and Philosophy at Cardiff University, and gained a Master’s degree in Creative Writing at St Andrews University. After his studies, he worked as a football coach in Australia, an English teacher in Spain, and as a management consultant before making his first film in 2006, PORTOBELLO: ATTACK OF THE CLONES, which won a number of awards and accolades. Following on from this success he gained a scholarship to undertake an MA in Film Directing at the University of Westminster. His graduation film, ENTROPY, won a number of awards including Best Script, Best Performances and a nomination for Best Film at the National Student Film Festival. Most recently, Alexander has worked on a screen adaptation of Amitav Ghosh’s THE SHADOW LINES, shot a feature length documentary about the history of football “casual” culture, and written and directed a series of virals for Smokefree Southwest. He also teaches Film, Media and Academic Skills at the University of East London and London Metropolitan University.
