The United States Military has lost a lot in the way of Bush craft and field craft skills. Since 9-11 our soldiers and Marines have become too attached to their vehicles, technology and FOB’s and less self-reliant on their own ability. Some of the best bush craft/ survival training I received was from soldiers and marines of the Philippines. Our counterparts in the AFP as with most militaries do not have all the technology or the support assets that follow them around and still believe that their soldiers should be self-reliant for their own benefit as well as their units. The video I posted is just of some of our Marines receiving this training is just a glimpse of some of the skills that these Filipino soldiers possess.
