The United States Officially observes WOMEN EQUALITY DAY Today in Celebration of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment, Giving American Women The Right to Vote After Decades of Struggles on August 26th, 1920. Today, American Women are far From Being Equal, as More and More Families are Headed by Women Earning 77 Cents out of Each Dollar a Man Made. More American Women are Driving into Poverty Now Then Ever Before. The US Drops the Ball Yet Again on Women Rights as the Only Western Country to Refuse to Ratify the Convention To Eliminate All forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Despite Those Major Hurdles, American Women Remain in the Forefront of the Fight For Equality and Human Dignity.
