Applicant must be familiar with, and comfortable working on boats, SCUBA certification preferred. *Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (not all inclusive)* - · Knowledge of Caribbean marine ecosystems and coastal resource management - · Knowledge of environmental, zoning, fisheries, boating and coastal zone laws and the related rules and regulations - · Knowledge of marine protected areas as a resource management tool (particular knowledge of the St. Croix East End Marine Park, its purpose and Rules and Regulations preferred) - · Strong technical and public relations background - · Experience in marketing, sales and fundraising - · Grant writing and management skills - · Meeting facilitation and partnering skills - · Competent swimmer and snorkeler - · Excellent written and oral communication skills - · Excellent computer skills; familiar with MS Office suite, GIS and graphics software - · Excellent organizational skills - · Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines - · Ability to work independently and complete tasks with attention to detail under minimal supervision - · Ability to work with and communicate courteously and effectively with a diverse range of people - · Good public speaking skills - · First Aid and CPR certification - · SCUBA certification preferred - · Ability to work as part of a team to achieve identified project goals and objectives - · Experience working on or with small island states in the Caribbean - · Masters or equivalent degree (minimum) from an accredited four (4) year college or university in natural resource management, or similar discipline - · Experience managing marine protected areas preferred *How To Apply:* Interested applicants please send the following documents by December 18, 2014 to Celia Jackson- Williams, Personnel Relations Administrator, email: [email protected] 1.
