The United States economy is expected to grow at its fastest rate in over a decade. This is good news on so many fronts. Im happiest for two groups of people: 1- The generation that has graduated from college in the last decade. So many of them did what they were supposed to do: stay out of trouble, study, work hard, and get a degree. Then they got out of college and couldnt get a job in their field, or had to take jobs they were over qualified for. Hopefully the improved economy will give a big boost to the twenty somethings whos biggest sin was being born at the wrong time. 2. People in skilled labors who have been having a hard time finding steady- fair paying employment. Many of these people work tremendously hard, in all types of difficult conditions. These are the hands that have built our country. The poor economy has led to them either not being able to get jobs at the wages they deserve, or have had to work for people ready to exploit the bad economy and the difficult positions it puts people in. I know very little about economics. In fact I taught it for one term, and was horrible. I might as well have started a relationship advice column. But.....all the experts are starting to weigh in and saying that better days are ahead. Cheers to 2015!
