The University of Guyana is such a great institution. It turns out thousands of graduates every year. Every year it produces over 2000 taxi drivers to ply the roads of Georgetown and its environs. These graduates can be found on a daily basis on every corner of Georgetown, infront of every store that are fortunate to have customers in this guava season. These men are very clever. It does not take them too long to figure out where they are needed, infront of which store or around which corner. A large number do emigrate, and they find jobs easily in other cities. Some earn their phd on the streets of Manhattan in yellow cabs, while others settle for simplier jobs with DHL, UPS, Fedex, and so on....Thanks to the University of Guyana.... and the auto dealers who make the dream of owning a vehicle come through for many graduates....
