The University of New Englands Marine Animal Rehabilitation Center is a critical member of the Northeast Marine Mammal and Sea Turtle Stranding Network. Among their valuable contributions, they 1) help endangered and protected marine animals; 2) foster important research into topics of oceans and human health; and 3) provide necessary hands-on, experiential learning opportunities for hundreds of students. We were saddened to learn today that the center is being closed. The gap this closure will leave in the network is immeasurable. ~ Kathy
