The University of Sioux Falls athletic department received official word today from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) that senior guard Derek Brown has earned an NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball statistical championship for his free throw shooting accuracy during the 2013-14 season. Brown buried 76 of 79 attempts at the line for a 96.2% season free-throw percentage. His shooting clip was 2.4% better than runner-ups Jake Schalow of Bemidji State and MSU Moorhead’s Jordan Riewer, who tied for second at 93.8-percent.
