The University of the Witswatersrands WISER, the Department of Politics and the History Workshop are hosting a panel discussion on Public and Private Health Systems and the quality of care as part of their series of Public Positions on History and Politics. This debate will examine how economic questions can obscure what are often more important problems of proper care in both the private and the publicly funded institutions and how South Africans can access a health care system that provides them with the kind of considerate, dignified and careful service that all citizens should expect.
