The Upper Northeast Regional Committee is holding two more drop-in calls before the end of the year about topics of interest to the USGBC Chapters in New England (CT, MA, NY, NH, VT, ME). These calls occur once a month on a Friday at noontime and are open to ALL members of the 7 UNeRC Chapters. The only prerequisite is interest in the subject and willingness to share thoughts and ideas on the topic of the call. Participants in this call will hear about and discuss the promise and the reality of fuel cell installations. LEED Energy and Atmosphere Credit 1 offers a maximum of 10 points to Optimize Energy Performance. Credit 4 can provide another 6 points for Off-Site and On-Site Renewable Energy. With 25 points in play, every path to clean, efficient sustainable energy should be considered, including using fuel cells for power, for combined heat and power, or for combined heat, fuel and power.
