The VA Inspector General (IG) report released today is appalling. Since 2005, the IG has issued 18 reports identifying “deficiencies in scheduling resulting in lengthy waiting times and the negative impact on patient care.” Patient care in any health care system should be the number one priority. If multiple reports indicate that a broken scheduling system is negatively impacting patient care, fix the system! I sincerely hope the Administration will not turn a blind eye to this report. I can assure you, Congress will not. Our nations veterans deserve much better.
