The Varsity Football played a heart wrenching game Friday night against Parker Lutheran. Parker is ranked #1 in their division in Colorado and unlike Texas; Colorado ranks private and public schools together. The game came down to the last play of the game in overtime with LSA being stopped 3 inches from the Goal Line on a 2-point conversion attempt. The final score was LSA 55 and Parker 56. Despite the outcome, the coaches are proud of our men! We were down by 21 points early in the 3rd quarter but the defense came in strong and tightened up while LSA’s high-powered offense scored 21 unanswered points to tie the game 42-42. Our offense achieved an impressive 552 yards, our special teams recovered multiple on-side kicks and five different players scored touchdowns. In all, a very impressive showing for our first game against a very strong and well disciplined team.
