The Veterans of Oakley want to thank everyone who contributed to the pot luck supper last night! Oakley City Council Candidate Sue Higgins was our guest last night and we thank her for her contribution to the pot luck supper! Sue spoke to the veterans about some of her priorities if elected such as living wage jobs, safety and pride in community. She then held a question and answer session with the veterans with a lot of talk about the announcement from city hall yesterday on PG&E deciding not to continue with the purchase of the proposed power plant. The veterans are very interested in the views of the candidates and we thank Oakley City Council Candidate Sue Higgins for her visit and support of veterans and our active duty service members.
