The Victoria Smile Show Pearlies, a local music hall troupe, were invited to greet the double decker buses when they arrived on our shores from London, England on the Pacific Fortune, and the Pearlies were the first to ride them all over town singing English songs. This photo was taken on that day by the Times photographer, Strickland. The buses were imported by Harold Olafson for a new sight seeing service.
