The Victorious Life! (Pt. 4) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts toward us; no one can compare with You! If I should declare and speak of them, they are too many to be numbered. (Psalm 40:4, 5 AMP) Do you want to be happy? Do you want to know purpose? Do you want to dream again? Then make The Lord your trust! That means that He is the One you rely upon. He is who you place your hope in. He, ABOVE ALL OTHER THINGS, is your foundation you build everything else upon! God is my REFUGE and STRENGTH. There is no other! If everything else is shaken to the core - my God still stands! I CAN COUNT ON HIM! I really like what David says next, especially the way the NIV expresses it: Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.(vs 5). Did you see it? The wonders You have done, the things YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR US. I dont know about you but I am EXCITED about the things God has planned! I can hardly wait to open each gift He has.
