The Vigil has been asked by the Mike Campbell Foundation to circulate this information on their forthcoming event in London. MIKE CAMPBELL FOUNDATION: “HOPE FOR ZIMBABWE” AT THE ROYAL GEOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY IN LONDON - TUESDAY 4 NOVEMBER FROM 7PM TO 9PM Ben Freeth MBE, executive director of the Mike Campbell Foundation, and Christina Lamb OBE, one of Britains leading foreign correspondents who has written extensively on Zimbabwe, will be speaking in London at the Royal Geographical Society on Tuesday 4 November from 7-9pm “Hope for Zimbabwe” is the unlikely theme of the presentation. The evening will be chaired by The Hon. Dame Linda Dobbs DBE, who was the first black person to be appointed a High Court judge in the UK and became chairman of the Criminal Bar Association in 2003. Adventurer Bear Grylls will give the introduction by video and there will be a short film clip on Beatrice Mtetwa, a courageous Zimbabwean lawyer. The breath-taking speed of developments in Zimbabwe during the past few months has caught many Zimbabwe watchers by surprise and in need of a fresh perspective.
