Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them. Acts 10:19-20 I want to make it very clear that I am not telling you that you are supposed to follow any voice that you hear. The Word says that there are many voices in the world and none of them is without signification (1 Corinthians 14:10). Satan has a voice. Your own spirit has a voice. The Holy Ghost has a voice. The voice of the Holy Ghost is a more authoritative voice than your conscience. When something is of God, it will line up with the Word. Someone came up to me recently and asked me about a particular issue. I said, “That isn’t of God.” “How do you know?” the person asked. I knew because I could show Him what God had written in the Word. If you heard a voice come from heaven and say, “This is the Lord. You can have three wives at the same time,” I can confirm that you heard a voice. But I also can confirm that it wasn’t holy. The voice of the Holy Ghost will be accompanied by peace. His leading will line up with the Word. ** Prayer for Today ------------------------------------------------------------ Father, I honor your Word. I honor your Holy Spirit. I honor the life, death, and resurrection of your Son who came to give me abundant life. Thank you for the integrity between your Word and your speaking voice.
