The Volunteer Systems Assistant will develop and coordinate the infrastructure which allows volunteers to effectively assist Catholic Charities programs. The focus of this position will be to build and implement systems for recruiting and supporting volunteers in the following programs: Rural Food Project: Volunteer-run food distribution sites provide fresh produce and groceries in rural areas of Sonoma and Lake counties. Citizenship Classes: Our Immigration Program offers free classes each year in both Sonoma and Napa counties, bringing together people from all over the world who want to study to become naturalized US citizens. I’m Home Alone: Every single day of the year, Catholic Charities volunteers place friendly, personal check-in calls to seniors who are disabled or otherwise housebound. Rent Right: This 9-week course in financial literacy and housing search is taught by volunteer professionals from the banking, real estate, mortgage, financial advisement, and property management fields.
