The WSMA has partnered with Covisint to offer members help in understanding and reporting Medicare quality measures via Covisint’s registry application. The rules for Medicare physician quality reporting have expanded. This is the final year to earn a 0.5 percent incentive payment, and the penalty for not reporting increases to 2 percent in 2016. As in 2013, only 20 patients are needed for “measures group” reporting this year. There are 25 measures group options, including three new ones: total knee replacement, general surgery and optimizing patient exposure to ionizing radiation. Covisint’s physician quality reporting system application for 2014 is now open. WSMA members receive a discounted price of $195 per provider. Contact Michelle Lott at [email protected] to obtain the discount code. Visit the WSMA membership benefits Web page for more information on this product.
