The Wall Street Journal revealed last week that only 42% of the US population approve of Barak Obamas performance as president. According to WSJ/NBC poll 60% of the population say that they belong to neither the democratic party or the republican party. The statistics dont lie. As economic insecurity, job insecurity, and poverty becomes a stark reality for the majority of Americans who are trying to conduct their lives the right way.. as most Americans are realizing that the two-party dictatorship is not only unresponsive to the needs of its citizens but even hostile to them... the support for a third party is growing more and more.. Just like during the Bush administration, we are witnessing disasters after disasters... we have witnessed the partial government shutdown which was engineered to create the conditions for banks and corporations to continue to thrive in a monopolistic corrupt capitalist system. The ACA ( unaffordablecare act ) is being exposed as a lie and a handout to corporations. The global/domestic illegal/unconstitutional surveilllance of hundrds of millions of unwitting citizens of the world reveals the lies of congress and the executive branch. and now.. in the time of food insecurity, food assistance for 48% million Americans are being slashed ( 11 billion over the next three years ). in a time of economic insecurity, there are plans to slash social security and medicade. in a time of job insecurity, there are plans to limit the federal Unemployment Compensation program ( which expires in December ). Therefore, it is not beyond the ordinary to say that there is a growing political vacuum in this country. There is a growing alienation between the masses and the government. Bush left office as the most unpopular president in the history of the USA. Now, Obama is not far behind. its a shame! The first black president.. the leader of hope and change.. the transformational president of the democratic party is now being exposed as a liar and a representative of big business, the banks, and the military intelligence complex. People, especially the youth, are seeing that replacing one big business politician ( Bush ) with another ( Obama ) will do nothing. it is one rotten political system! It is one rotten economic system!
