The Washington Post should do some fact checking before publishing this uninformed drivel written by a medical ethicist who is Physician and Director of Cleveland Clinic’s Center for Ethics, Humanities and Spiritual Care (Im stumped by that title - what does he actually do?). He starts with an unsupported assertion that “Most parents see vaccinations as a medical necessity to protect their children” - Really? Has he been living under a rock? Apparently, he has no knowledge of history either, stating, “The anti-vaccination movement is a relatively new.” I guess 180yrs of informed, educated parents resisting the injection of foreign matter into children doesnt count.
