The Way of Life Deut.30 [19] I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: [20] That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. This is an inspiring Scripture for me today. It reminds me of the words of a man who said, “I would rather live dying than already be dead when death comes. Not only are we given the right to choose, but also the information about how to maintain “life” status….”Love the Lord your Creator…for He is life and length of days. The characteristics and evidence of life and Light are all around us in His creation just as the characteristics and evidence of darkness and death is also around us. Life is not a commodity men control, but it is the consciousness of eternity that comes when one chooses to love the Lord our Creator and acknowledge Him as the source of life and Light. The pursuit of life and Light is a life-long labor. It is not difficult if we make the right choice. The Lord has promised us that His burden is light and His way is easy. The way of the transgressor is hard and filled with peril. Just as Abraham was sent out to discover what he did not know, we, too, are asked to seek those things that be not as they were. We are encouraged to believe beyond those things we can see, touch, or understand. The Creator’s ways are so far above our ways and His thoughts so far above our thoughts. In my own life I have found no resting place or place of retirement. I came from a spiritual origin and I am on my way to a spiritual destination. I believe the truth and I believe in the Way of the Creator. I will do my best to be a hollow bone the Creator speaks through just as He speaks through the beauty of His creation to us all. I declare today that I love the Lord and the way of Life. He is that way.
