The Weekend... Saturday; Spent the day house hunting. Instead of driving the car and dealing with the hassle of parking and what not I tied a strap to Georgias bike and she towed me around the streets of Elwood and St Kilda. It was so much fun until we knocked a little kid off his bike and he fell into the canal. He must of got a little distracted at the sight of us zooming along the path and he forgot to turn and whoopsie off the side he went. A 2m drop into the water! As much as he dad said it wasnt our fault George and I left the seen giggling ourselves silly at the thought that it actually probably was our fault...so glad the kid didnt seriously hurt himself. Sunday; I passed my final assessment at the AIF and I am now officially a certified personal trainer...so look out! I was very surprised and totally stoked to be awarded the class energizser. After passing the assessment and saying my goodbyes I shot off to the airport to head to Newcastle for the night. I surprised the boys with my visit and enjoyed a night of catching up, watching the 14 kids between them run a muck, a phat bbq and an epic Souths win. I dont see these blokes often but the bond we have will never be broken. I love them dearly. Monday; I woke early and took a stroll down the road to Fingal Bay and took the panoramic shot you see below. We are going to make this a yearly event and I cant wait to get back here and explore Port Stephens a little more. Its stunning. As long as Im by the ocean Im happy. It feeds my soul. We also got news that a house we put in an application for was accepted. We will soon be residents of Marine parade in Elwood. We are directly across from the beach and the park where the sky divers land. Its hard to believe the position I find myself in presently. Ive worked hard to get where I am and the rewards are coming my way. Bring on next weekend - surfing and a seafood feast at Barwon Heads.
