The Westfield Police Department, in partnership with Hamilton - TopicsExpress

The Westfield Police Department, in partnership with Hamilton County Emergency Management, received 6 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for on-duty officers. Through the Urban Area Security Initiative Grant (UASI), with funds provided by the United States Department of Homeland Security, a project was identified to ensure all law enforcement vehicles throughout Hamilton County had access to AEDs. Law Enforcement Officers have been identified as responders always in the field and having access to these vital capabilities will continue to provide an additional level of service to our Westfield Community. The UASI grant is managed by Hamilton County Emergency Management. “We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to support our Law Enforcement community in Hamilton County, while we hope they never have to be used we can rest assure our highly trained officers are ready to assist where needed”, said Thomas Sivak, Executive Director of Hamilton County Emergency Management.
