The Whale And Dolphin People Project Disturbing News: 10 Gray Whales Die In Chukotka, Russia Under Mysterious Circumstances The Russian Marine Mammal Council has reported that at least 10 Gray whales have washed up dead on the shores of Chukotka, Russia. Chukotka is across the Bering Sea from Alaska. The Russian Marine Mammal Council does not as yet know why these 10 Gray whales have died, and have advised that there may be other victims that did not float to shore where the 10 bodies beached. They are doing their best to determine what is going on. Have the dead Gray whales been killed by human hunters? A pod of Killer whales on a killing spree? Disease? I will add: Or could they have been killed by underwater explosions connected to the search for oil, or possibly could they be the victims of Russian or other Naval sonar? This is a very serious situation, and I hope that the Russians stay on top of it and find the true cause of these deaths. I hope that they can prevent further deaths.
