The White Cane Safety Day New Delhi.National Organisition for Social Empowerment (National NGO)- is a Delhi based organisation working on addressing the needs of the differently able persons- for the second consecutive year has organized The White Cane Safety Day Walk on 15th October 2014. The event is being organised with the, Save the Quest as event partner. National Organisation for Social Empowerment has organized The White Cane Safety Day Walk on 15th October 2014 at Hindu College where we saw a participation of more than 1000 institutions which was an achievement in itself in terms of sensitising people towards this cause. Highlight of the event was Diwakar’s(Finalist of SaReGaMaPa Lil Champs) performance as he was a special guest for the day. Different social schools and societies like National Association for the Blind (NAB), National Service Society (NSS), Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC), apart from our attendees (students, faculties, local residents, local businesses and organisations) have been active associates of our events. The basic motto behind this event is to spread awareness about the importance of the White Cane in a blind person’s life and to celebrate the achievements of people with disability.
