The Wilkes-Barre City Police Department has received several reports of thefts from vehicles where the victim(s) had their vehicle locked. One of the thefts, which was caught on video, shows the suspects possibly using a wireless device that allowed them to mimic the vehicle’s key fob signal and open the doors. Residents are reminded to lock your vehicle’s doors AND remove all valuables from your vehicle. The suspect vehicle in the theft caught on video is described as a light colored station wagon or SUV with a sunroof. Anyone with information is asked to contact WBPD at 570.826.8106.
