The Wimbledon champion was not seen as contender for this years French Open until his win over Gaël Monfils Rafael Nadals sole loss in his 64 Roland Garros matches Andy Murray is delighted to be in the semi-finals of the French Open but not yet satisfied. The Wimbledon champion will face Rafael Nadal on Friday in a rematch of their 2011 semi-final, which the Spaniard won in three tight sets. Murray arrived in Paris with expectations dampened by patchy form since his back surgery last September and his indifferent record on clay. While he has made at least two finals at each of the other three grand slams, his run three years ago was his best effort at Roland Garros.
