The Wisbech Society have updated members about Danns Clock which you might find of interest: Other news for you is that we are getting ever closer to achieving our ambition of returning Dann’s Clock to its former position above WH Brown’s estate agent. All the legal issues associated with its return have now been resolved, but two obstacles remain. First is the time of year, with the onset of inclement weather and lack of daylight hours, second is finance. The cost of repairing the clock has been higher than predicted, and we will be launching a public appeal to help us cover the shortfall that has arisen, but we still hope to have the clock back in its rightful place before long.
