That’s the difference between me and the rest of the world. Happiness isn’t good enough for me! I demand euphoria! (reminds me of striving for perfection) Calvin: As you can see, I have memorized this utterly useless piece of information long enough to pass a test question. I now intend to forget it forever. (reminds me of how badly we teach and the advantage of Job Instruction Training, learning by doing, Toyota Kata, one-page teach, teaching by questioning) Hobbes: So the secret to good self-esteem is to lower your expectations to the point where they’re already met? (Recently a lean coach friend described with frustration how their company is afraid to say anything is a problem as it hurts peoples feelings, and they prefer positive reinforcement and using words like opportunities)
