The Woodsman Chapter 3 She gets up as the man is getting closer, blood rolling down her face from the gash in her head, limping through the creek try-ing to escape the mad man that will surely bring death. She screams in horror “aaaahhhhhhhhh” and calls out for help “somebody please help me, God, please someone, please help!”. Then a loud crack sound fills the air and her body falls life-lessly into the creek, skull split wide open, blood filling the creek turning it bright red under the full moon light. Fred Rothman standing over her body holding the ax up to his face, he licks the blood off of the ax and lets out a tribal scream that penetrates the night, silencing all of the insects, so the only sounds are that of the creek flowing. He stands there for what must be ten to fifteen minutes, then kicks the body of the girl, flips the ax up onto his shoulder and begins walking back down the middle of the stream towards his house.
