The Word. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word is that which all things were created by and which all things are measured by. The Word is that which brings true life to men. It is the light that clears away the darkness so that any stumbling blocks along the way will come as no surprise. Giving man the advantage to see them clearly and not be overcome by them. I am Paul. Your brother in Christ. For you I lie in the mud, down and dirty that I might lift my brother and give him the advantage. I speak His Word unto you not from high above looking down, but from your feet pleading with all my heart... I love you. John 12:27 KJV Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Ezekiel 2:1-10 KJV And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day. For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God . And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee. And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe. Galatians 5:9 KJV A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump. Romans 3:4 KJV God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Revelation 3:15-16 KJV I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Matthew 24:35 KJV Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Hebrews 13:8 KJV Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Amos 3:7 KJV Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. 2 Peter 1:19 KJV We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: The Word is the power and the authority. When the fire and smoke settle, it will be only the Word that remains standing unscathed. Many tend to make allowance for the tolerances that men have accepted in these last days. In the world we extend grace, in the temple we must observe strict obedience. Does a man, knowing the truth of the gospel, allow himself to strike another man in a fit of anger? Does a man believe he has the authority to speak over God in Gods temple? Who is in charge? Is it the man or is it the Word? Lets consider the above portions of scripture. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. In this case that would be anything that is not found in the pages of the scripture. Anything. As I have said time and time again, if there is no alignment with the Word, it must be discarded. Doesnt matter how nice it sounds, doesnt matter how much a man or men justify it, if there is no true scriptural backing to it, it must not enter. God is not sharing His throne. Romans 3:4 Let God be true and every man a liar. What evidence can a man show that God has spoken to Him? Jesus I know, Paul I know... But who are you??? Man must have witnesses. Two or more. The only proof positive evidence a man can show to prove in fact God has spoken to him is when two or more portions of scripture back his claim rightly divided. Thats it. Your dad, mom, uncle, aunt, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, cousin, or friend are not reliable witnesses. Only the Word is perfect. Only the Word can defend you. Revelation 3, referencing of the Laodiceans, neither cold nor hot... You say you believe the Word, and that the Word is your final authority but is it really? There is a lot of pick and choosing going on brethren... Let me make something very clear, if you want to see the power of God work in your life and in the ministry God has made you keeper of, you have to stand up and walk straight into the fire. No fear. That is the one God can use. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego... You have to stand up in the midst of all that surround you and proclaim the fullness thereof of His Word. No matter who it may offend. Hear the Word: Luke 14:26-27 KJV - If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Matthew 24:35 identifies a very key understanding. Timelessness. Just because in our day tolerance is fashionable, that doesnt change the truth. You either believe all that which God said or none at all. Let me take a minute to address rightly dividing. There are two contacts presented in the Word, the old covenant and the new. We never could keep the law and Jesus fulfilled for us that contract that we couldnt have ever gotten out of ourselves. However the doctrine of the old covenant and the new are exactly the same. From the very beginning to the present day it was always faith. This is what God said, therefore I will believe it. Bottom line. So while the old covenant is fulfilled and we are no longer bound to keep the law in full, but have now the salvation of His grace, the commandment is to love. Love does no wrong to its neighbor. Love does not allow a stumbling block to be set before its brother. Hebrews 13:8 the same yesterday, today, and for ever. I consider it laughable how many Christians today will walk around pridefully proclaiming their abilities to keep portions of the law, which as I have said Jesus paid in full, but yet when it comes to humbling themselves for the benefit of others, they take the teachings of Paul and rip them out and say well that only applied to them in that day Really??? The same yesterday, today, and forever. Thats what the Word says... 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 talks about the son of perdition not being revealed until the great falling away. I know I have written numerous times on this subject and your tired of hearing it. Neither cold nor hot once again. Either one picks and chooses what they will adhere to of the true word or they turn to another word. Many false prophets shall rise up and say I am Christ... Gods preserved Word is marked KJV. That is the Word, that is God, that is Jesus, that is the Holy Ghost. But the NIV, NLT, HSBC, TEV, ESV, RSV, and all the other variances rise up and say I am Jesus There can be only One Jesus... You cant half believe the true Jesus and pick and choose what you will abide by, and you definitely dont want to follow another Jesus, another spirit, another Gospel... The son of perdition dwells in the hearts of they who compromise. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump... Amos 3:7 nothing without revealing his secret unto his prophets. 2 Peter 1:19 a more sure Word of prophesy... To speak straight from the scriptures is to prophesy. Anyone tells you any different is a liar. Gods Word is Gods Word. I bring this message to remind the saints of the true power. We are not the power. It is the fullness of His Word that does all things in and around us. For us to truly see the power working in and through us it has to be all or nothing. You are going to have to step courageously into the fire knowing undoubtedly that every word God said has your back. If you are a pastor, you have to stand before the congregation prepared to be eaten alive in a den of lions and not faulted to proclaim this is what God said, and I am not going to usurp the authority of this Word under any circumstance. If the fullness of the Word doesnt hold complete authority, I assure you, the ministry you have been given stewardship of will fail. Remember Luke 14:26-27! Revelation chapters 2 and 3, every word applies to every steward. Brethren, I am your brother. With everything God has made of this meto be, I truly love you. My desire is only that of charity. To give unto my brother both that which I would desire him give me and the forbearance of myself to keep you moving forward that we might finish together. 1 Timothy 2 1 Corinthians 14 In conclusion: Psalms 9:1-20 KJV I will praise thee, O Lord , with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence. For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever. O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them. But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord , hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Sing praises to the Lord , which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. Have mercy upon me, O Lord ; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation. The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken. The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. Arise, O Lord ; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord : that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah. Malachi 2:1-2 KJV And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you. If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. - Paul.
