The Word for October 28, 2014 Let Us Summarize The Lesson - God Wants You Well Governed by Law - Intended for Our Good (Continued) Some folks argue that if the Lord wanted to, He could just stop that. However, God doesnt change the laws. That is not His nature. When He created these laws as part of the original creation, He said, It is good (Genesis 1:31). There is nothing wrong with gravity. The problem is not the law; it is with the people who violate the law. If God suspended the law of gravity to save one life, think of the untold millions of other lives that would be lost because of it. People depending on gravity to hold their vehicles to the road while driving would suddenly careen out of control into other vehicles and buildings. Million of people would die just so He could save the life of one person falling off of a building. It doesnt work that way. Laws are constant. They dont fluctuate. God doesnt violate natural laws. He doesnt violate spiritual laws either. There are spiritual laws, and they are intended for our good. The Lord has made things so that it is not just on His whim who gets healed and who doesnt. These are laws that govern faith and healing. There are reasons things happen the way they do. Our ignorance of these laws, and the truth that there are these laws, is a huge hindrance to receiving healing. Ignorance of what these individual laws are will even hinder people from receiving healing who understand that the Kingdom of God is operated and governed by laws.
