The Word of Tuesday 24th June, 2014. WHAT DO YOU HAVE IN YOUR HANDS? M.V:- And the Lord said unto him, what is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod (Exodus 4:2). Texts:- Exodus 4:1-6, 7:10-12. MESSAGE:- Excuses, self-pity, self comparison & complaints happen when u take ur eyes away 4m what u av in ur hands & focus on what u lack. In 2des msg, d question dat God asked Moses was a simple one & dat is d same question He is directing to u 2de: what do u av in ur hands? For more than 40yrs, Moses travelled d plains of Sinai leading d lambs of his father-in-law wt a rod even though he was declared criminal & wanted man by d moster powerful king then, in person of Pharaoh of Egypt. Obviously, Moses had fear, a mindset of being a failure in d past, insecurity & a sense of low esteem but God wanted him to focus on what he had left & not what he had lost! Little did Moses knew that what was going to announce him was within him & not without. He did not know that d smelling & despised rod he had used for 40yrs was going to be instrument to d deliverance of Gods ppu 4rm d house of bondage. To Moses, it was a dhepherds rod but to God it was a weapon of war; it was Pharaohs waterloo. God wants u to focus on those dat celebrate u (even if they are few) & not on those who betrayed u in d past, focus on those who are left as friend (even if it is just one person) & not on those who are ur enemies; focus on ur strong points not on ur weak points, focus on ur successes & not on ur failures. Even, if u av lost everything & d only left thing for u is ur breath. God can start good things wt u 4rm that ur breath bikos as long as theres life, it is never too late. I bet u, d rest of ur life will become d best of ur life. Just as God tool Moses 4rm d scars of his past & made him a star of his generation 2ru d rod in his hand, God can do much more for u bikos u are operating under a new & better covenant! Find out what u av in ur hands & learn to use it to deliver d miracle u desire. Always look ahead, d Lord God will alwes be there for u.
