The Word of the Day is: inveigh \in-VAY\ (verb) : to protest - TopicsExpress

The Word of the Day is: inveigh \in-VAY\ (verb) : to protest or complain bitterly or vehemently : rail. Example: Several property owners wrote letters to the paper inveighing against the high property taxes that they are required to pay. When you consistently seek to spend time with God in His word, there are many rewards to be had. Im not speaking of a mundane routine, where you automatically do and recite the same things over and over again. Im speaking of an earnest seeking, meaningful time when you allow God to take you where He wants you to go or understand in His word. This makes for an exciting spiritual adventure that will never allow boredom or mere routine to rear its ugly head. Theres no blessing in that, youve just read words or gone through some form or ritual, that will not benefit you at all. Gods people come to the Daily rejoicing and thankful; grateful for the opportunity to be in anticipation of the blessings they are to receive for that day! Where does the gratefulness and thankfulness come from? It comes from being so excited about all the blessings Hes already given us, which are too numerous to list here, that you have joy and excitement just getting your day started in His word! Eternal life and salvation come to mind as one of the chiefest of all blessings today, and of course our loving Savior, whom for without His sacrifice, none of this would be available to us. So today, let us sing the praises of the Lord in our hearts, for we are truly a very blessed, called and chosen people; by His grace, His mercy and His love! O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth. (2) Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.(Ps.96:1-2) And remember, 1Peter 2:9-10 says, But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (10) Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. Our God be praised! Sent to me by Pastor C.B.
