The World is full of magical things waiting for our wits to grow sharper - Eden Phillpotts (1862-1960) That was the first quote that popped into my head when I saw footage of one of Beyonces concert videos. The fact that someone can be so talented and so confident just blew me away. And I began to think how wonderful the world would be if everyone could be comfortable in their own skins be as confident as Queen Beyonce. Everytime you need inspiration to be confident, I suggest you put on a Beyonce song and dance like no one is looking :) Challenge: Tell someone you know that they are beautiful just the way they are. Because truly we are all beautiful in our own ways. :D Day 18 1. Im grateful to Junchuan Ong for getting me to be part of his proposal yesterday. I was amazingly blessed to see him proposing to Janice Pang and to see their pure love. It was beautiful! Thank you for allowing me to be part of the planning process and for being there! Enjoy your Taiwan trip and Ill see you guys when you get back! 2. Im grateful to all the amazing people that pooled together to help make Junchuans proposal a success. Thanks Ng JunHui Gordon Raymond Khoo Carolyn Gavriella Choo and Chee Kah Hoe for all your crazy hard work. Even though we were so stressed that everyone almost fought, we worked through all the crazy mishaps to pull the whole thing off. I cant wait to see the video when it comes out! 3. Im grateful to Caroyln and Kah Hoe for supper last night. Im the ever perpetual broke student so I really really appreciate the supper. Thanks for also introducing me to an amazing Bee Hoon place in Choa Chu Kang. Im going to find a reason to go back there soon to eat it, haha. 4. Im grateful to Kah Hoe for giving me a lift back to NUS yesterday, even though it was out of his way. Without him I wouldnt have been able to make it home because I literally had cents in my wallet. God always sends angels when you need it the most. Thanks for the lift man! 5. Im grateful to the amazing weather and clear sky last night. It was raining all over Singapore but the sky was clear over Brickland Road, and we could even see the full blood moon last night. It was the perfect weather to a perfect proposal between two amazing friends. Maybe someday in the future Ill be able to have my own. (Must find a girlfriend first, the position is still open hahaha) 6. Im grateful for my first tuition session with my primary 4 student Dylan. He was really a handful and Im glad that I was able to get a student that was willing to listen to me. I look forward to next week! 7. Im grateful for having a printer in my building. It makes printing stuff so convenient and awesome because I dont have to travel that far :) 8. Im grateful for my window blinds because I was able to pull them down and block out the sunlight, allowing me to sleep till 11am today. Sleeping in late is just one of those indulgences that I love doing ;) 9. Im grateful for Justin Koh for being such an understanding boss and for sorting out the pay issue so quickly. I enjoy getting treated and pampered by my friends like any other cheepo person but theres something about being able to buy your own stuff that says responsible haha. Anyway, thanks Justin for saving my dignity and allowing me to start looking for plane tickets back to Sabah. 10. Im grateful to NUS for an interesting semester. Well since technically the end of classes for this semester, I would just like to take this time thank the school for all the experiences and opportunities Ive been given this semester.
