The YES voters want to watch an interesting debate on at the moment on BBC Parliament. “Referendum On Separation For Scotland”. Certainly shows that the white paper is just full of assertions! Like the YES campaign say that they WILL HAVE the pound. You can’t stop us as Scotland have a share in The Bank of England. Yes, at the moment, Scotland does but The BEA is an “institution”. If Scotland was to become independent the BEA would belong to the rUK and Scotland would have no say! NHS Scotland as well as HMRC are institutions and they would belong to rUK. Imagine the logistics of starting up a new health service and tax office. The possibility of losing all the computer data. Total nightmare! Another issue brought up was that if Scotland was to get independence, she would join the EU. She would have to apply for membership of the EU and join the queue which could possibly take years. In between times, she would be an independent state, and would receive no funding from Europe or the UK obviously to help agriculture, fishing etc. etc. It would possibly be very difficult in this situation, being able to trade with other countries. All these “Braveheart” YES voters shouting “Freedom for Scotland”. Never mind thinking that independence is the land of milk and honey. Think of the consequences if it doesn’t work. It’s a one way ticket and there’s NO coming back! Had to laugh though when someone asked. “In the 2015 elections, if a unionist party was to get in to The Scottish Government and independence didn’t look so promising. Would it be possible to decide to stay in the UK?” Don’t quote me but words to that effect!
