The YMS @youthmediasymposium Christmas party is Monday at 4pm! Vets and all students invited! Help us celebrate our success! YMS Students : 1. Won a grant to open 10 college success centers in all 5 wards of Newark in 2015, with the help of community and college partnerships 2. Advocated for all schools to have a college knowledge and self advocacy course, coming in 2015. Curriculum underway. 3. Launched a NJ Statewide Youth Listening Tour with stops already in Trenton, Paterson, Camden, Newark and more to come! 4. Held a very successful college and career fair, with over 30 professionals and 300 students 5. Launched a photography program and took some dope pictures 6. Documented the One Newark Fiasco, with their video on Barringer getting the Mayors attention and news media 7. Attended over 10 shows at NJPAC, with a partnership to blend advocacy and the arts, created by Mr. Williams 8. ALL THE WHILE many staying honor students, athletes and good kids! Excellent Year YMS!!!!
