The Yarmouth Fire Department will be holding their annual Canadian Fallen Firefighters Service Sunday, Sept. 8 at the Yarmouth fire station. This service, which is held nationwide, honors the men and women of the fire service who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The service will begin at 10 a.m. and is open to any and all fire departments and their members as well as the public. Any department wishing to participate should be at the Yarmouth fire station by 9:30 a.m. In case of rain the service will be held inside. Organizers of the event invite the public to take a moment to join them in “remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting their communities.”
